Eucalyptus Honey

0 out of 5

Eucalyptus honey is a result of bees foraging on the nectar of eucalyptus blossoms of eucalyptus trees, from the valley of the river Guadalhorce in Seville, Spain. We supply this beautiful tasting honey from our ecological and sustainable Spanish beekeeper, Antonio.

Revitalizing and with a perfect level of sweetness, eucalyptus honey is medium-sweet with a levelled earthy flavour, with undertones of menthol and caramel. This beautiful tasting honey has a wonderfully fruity creaminess along with a very mild mint-like aftertaste. It has a distinctly herbal and medium earthy flavour with a slight medicinal scent to it.

Eucalyptus honey is a variety of monofloral honey type with a unique composition. It contains traces of eucalyptol which gives it its fresh revitalizing taste. It is also good to use for skincare. It has a fresh and clean aroma, and its soothing composition helps aid skin recovery from blemishes, acne and spots.

This honey is a good alternative for sugar. Due to its distinct minty menthol aftertaste, eucalyptus honey goes well with refreshing beverages; such as tonics, smoothies, lemonades, peppermint tea and mojito.

Please Note:
Because our honey is 100% raw it can crystallize over time. This is normal and it does not mean that the honey has gone off. Simply place the jar of honey in a glass bowl, quarter fill a pan or a pot with boiling water then place the bowl into it. The steam should heat the bowl, which heats the jar without overheating it (you do not want the benefits of the honey to be eliminated by the heat). Keep the water boiling by turning up the heat on the stove. The honey should be in liquid form again in 15 minutes or so (depending on the size).

  • Do not feed raw honey to infants and young children under 12 months of age due to the chance of botulism poisoning. This is not a danger for older children or adults.
  • Using large amounts of honey might increase blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.
  • Avoid honey if you are allergic to pollen. Honey, which is made from pollen, may cause allergic reactions.
